Even though THE WEB is all about fun, we are serious about our commitment to our neighbors and the environment. We have taken several steps to meet our goals and ask that you join in.
GIVE BACK PARTYNEW FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR!
We understand that for some school and youth groups that no matter how we try, we are just out of reach financially for them. So, this year any group who feels they deserve a special day, we have just the event. On Wednesday, May 16th 2012, we will host our first GIVE BACK PARTY! This event will run from 10 AM until 2 PM and include all of our attractions, game cards, and even a free lunch! (Who says you can’t get that!)
All you need to do to qualify is just send us a letter on your organization letterhead explaining who you are and why you deserve to be included. Your group can bring up to 50 guests, and we will restrict this to the first 200 guests. Adult supervision must be provided.
We look forward to hearing from you!
DONATIONSAny qualified charitable organization can request free game passes for their fund raiser or raffle. Just send a letter or email describing your organization and the event to the attention of our Sales Manager. We will get the passes right to you.
ENVIRONMENTTHE WEB was designed from the ground up to minimize our impact. All of the building lighting was replaced and we have almost no incandescent lighting. The primary lights in our go-kart are called T5, the newest and most efficient fluorescent lights on the market.
We decided for several reasons to use electric go-karts. They have no emissions, and so allow us to minimize ventilation and reduce heating and cooling. Not to mention they are much easier on your lungs! They are quiet, and so we do not need to worry about hurting anyone’s hearing. And finally, there are no worries about all of the chemical problems associated with gasoline and oil. The karts cost almost four times the price of a gas set up, but we think it was worth it.
We have installed recycling bins in the restaurant and recycle our waste paper. (Don’t worry about all of those old score sheets.)
If you have any other suggestions, please let us know!
